We accept insurance:

- Florida: Aetna, Quest Behavioral Health, Oscar, Oxford, United Healthcare, and United Medicare Advantage
- For individuals with other insurance policies not listed here or who may be located in states outside of FL and MA, we can assist you in utilizing your Out-of-Network (OON) benefits. Dr. Watson is an OON provider.
Out-of-Network (OON) Benefits
While Dr. Watson does not accept insurance directly for your plan, your insurance plan may have OON benefits, which means the insurance provider will reimburse you for a portion of the session cost. Many insurance providers will allow you to quickly and easily file OON reimbursement claims directly through their online portal. Use the tool (Mentaya) below to get an estimate of how much you can expect to pay for therapy using OON benefits.
Call your health insurance to verify this estimate and that they cover virtual (telehealth) sessions (most do). Most private health insurance plans provide some level of OON reimbursement. If you see the terms “POS”, “PPO” or “out-of-network” on your insurance card then you are likely eligible. If you see “HMO”, “Medicare” or “Medicaid” then you probably do not have OON benefits. Once this is determined, we can provide you with a detailed “Superbill” that consists of specific coding insurance companies require.
Savings Suggestions:
Did you know that if you itemize your taxes, psychological services may be tax deductible as a medical expense?
If you have a flexible spending account or a health savings account offered through your employer, you may use these to minimize the cost of psychotherapy. These options allow you to spend pre-tax income on medical expenses such as psychotherapy. Check with your employer to determine if either of these are options for you and the specifics of these plans.
